This IS a great read, YW.  I went through all the same stuff.  Yeah, only being able to work and train was dead boring, but I also wanted to learn about the Money Market, and subbed to newspapers that I thought would be helpful (DOD Orders, etc.)  I started to learn a lot more about the 'real' game here, not just the button-pushing.  But then, I kinda expected a game called eRepublik to be about networking and information-sharing than anything else.

You put all this into words very nicely.  I guess this deserves a "Cool story, bro!"

I am finally at level 5, and my wellness is at 40.5. Since there are no battles to participate in, how do I heal at a hospital?
If I cannot heal at a hospital, what alternative do I have to help my wellness?

You can't heal at a hospital unless you've battled that day.  Try buying higher quality food.  Or wellness boxes.

DONT BUY WELLNESS BOXES!

They are the worst thing you can spend your money on health/gold wise. HUGE waste of money.

10 gifts = ~ $25

2 gold = ~ $80

same result +10 wellness

Ok, I'm going to make my first post here, because, well, it's an interesting thread and an interesting topic. Hello there everyone, I'm new-ish, almost got a grasp on basic game stuff, fought for the first time today, and enrolled in the Training Corps. Was reading back through my messages and found one telling me to come here so... hey there.

Thanks, I was worried that the whole game was going to be a click, click, done thing. :3 By the way, great read, almost EXACTLY what happened to me, -the confusion about training and teaching someone to not.
