Questions about dying, buying, and PTO'ing
« on: July 29, 2009, 04:00:00 PM »
I've been around long enough that I should know the answers but I was wondering, after coming across a few dead citizens, how do people die?  Did these folks just stop playing and succumb to starvation?  Or is it possible to die in battle?

Also, I am wondering if it is possible to buy common use items, ie. food, guns, gifts, from other countries.  I'm sure you would have to have to right currency but are there other constraints?

Last thing. It doesn't seem cost effective to me to buy two tickets for, let's say, one hundred people just to get someone elected in a foreign country.  And with the citizenship module in play, the amount of people that official can bring in will be limited.  And so what if we get a seat in some foreign country's congress?  I guess it's good for the individual elected but I don't understand what good it does for OUR country.  If tickets were $10 each, we're out at least $2000 just to TRY and get someone elected.  We could have bought over 200 guns for that price and we would be increasing our country's strength...and at the same time, defending our own congress from infiltrators.  Best case scenario, we get someone elected in a foreign country...what are the benefits?  And how do they outweigh the benefits of our citizens strength improvements?

Thanks for your help.

Death - The stop playing and succomb to starvation bit.  You cant die in the battlefield, although you can bring your wellness below 40 if you dont know what youre doing (you should never bring it below 50)

You can only buy those items if you live in the country.  Many players also do this via organizations so they dont have to move their character.

With citizenship, old school PTOs are done, yes.  However, there are major benefits to having had them when they were available.  if america had been willing to partake, we could raid a countries treasury (paying back the cost of the plane tickets and more), economically ruin a country (thus preventing them from fighting us as effectively), and effect their alliances.  For example, Croatia just took over italy.  Thus far, the croations have decided to play nice and not ruin the country, but have declared peace with the US.  Thats once less country knocking damage on to our walls.
