CONSIDER IT A DIRECTIVE, FROM THIS DAY FORWARD:

Anyone who makes a new topic in GenDisc on the United Kingdom that doesn't clearly and distinctively differentiate itself from another topic that has been posted on in the last three (3) days will be removed and the thread starter issued 10 warning points per offense.  The amount of clutter we have here simply talking about the UK is staggering.

With the header, Howard gratefully claims it.  Distribution brilliant.  Landon Donovan, there are things on here for the USA.  Can they do it here?  Cross, and Dempsey is denied again!  AND DONOVAN HAS SCORED.  OH CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS! GOAL GOAL USA!

Don't get any.

After a few, you get watched.  After more, you can only view posts.  After 100%, you're banned.

Oh, so that's what watched means. I don't have any forfeit points and I don't plan on getting any, but I'm just curious: do they fade away after a while like in eRepublik. Also, couldn't somebody who was banned just create a new account on the forum?

Yes, they fade away.

I would add threads about Emerick too.  I get bored reading through 3 threads of faux-worshipping.

I think his avatar is Lionel Mandrake from Dr. Strangelove.

Not sure what you mean by find me, but my IP address changes every 30 minutes, so if you plan on finding me that way won't work. IMHO, that is how a lot of people get away with multiple accounts.

IP address is one of many methods of tracking multis.

And actually, judging by the fact that you use Cox Communications in Oklahoma I'm willing to bet serious money that your subnet doesn't change significantly.  And if it did there's a rotation in effect that could be easily detected.  So specific IP, no.  But we could just ban the whole damn subnet just to make sure...

Sorry, but I work from home and my company pays big money for my IP to change like that. Just part of how they keep our servers from being hacked. Checked with IT - cause I was curious - and he assures me that in order to ban me you would have to ban the whole subnet.

You can ban me if you wish, however - and I am sure you can look this up - I have not done anything wrong. I use this account and my wife uses Maekenellie Phawn from my IP and subnet. I could - if I really wanted - switch over to my wife's AT&T account and use that, or maybe just hop over to the library and use their system. That is one of many things wrong about this game...way to easy to cheat.

I'm not sure what your intention is with this sub-thread, but if you're trying to gloat about your potential to cheat I'm sorry to burst your bubble. Your IP addy changes far less frequently than you've been led to believe; looks like every 30 days, not minutes.

You posted from the same IP address from Jan 4 to Feb 3, and have posted from another IP address since the 12th of February. (forget your password on the 22nd?) Both IP addresses (one of which is also associated with your wife's forum account) resolve to the same zip code and provider, so I doubt it'd take a Sherlock to figure you out of you created a forum multi - ALL of which is POINTLESS speculation if you don't intend to be disruptive.

Right, we're not going to ban you, that would be stupid and pointless.  I was just illustrating how it's fairly difficult to get around forum bans if the admin team is committed to keeping the banned member out.  I wouldn't want to use a sledge hammer to kill a fly like banning a whole freakin' subnet to keep trouble out but I will if it comes to it.

See ya, have a good one.

First wrong IP and yes that one does not change and yes they are the ones we use to play eRepublik.

What I intended was to show that there are people on here who have the ability to track such things and are willing to use it to prove a point. Yes, it is fairly hard to get around a forum ban, but it is not impossible and for someone with your talent it would seem to me to be fairly easy.

I have become a 2-clicker because I am waiting for Version 2 to come out. Personally I don't care how they change the mechanics of the game, the mechanics can be learned. I want to see how they have dealt with cheaters. If version 2 comes out and it remains as easy to cheat as it is now, I will most likely not hang around. This game is very good and has the potential to be a great game, but no matter what they do if it remains easy to cheat who cares how great a game it is?
