Question(s) re Orgs

Hope this is the right place to post this - I started to post in the ultra-noob Qs thread but saw that hadn't seen much action lately so thought I'd try here. Mods, feel free to move if you think it necessary.

Question(s) re Orgs:

I'm starting an Org (for storage, Pony Express votes and lulz) and have a question or two. I think I read somewhere that where an org is located could make a difference in terms of something like company ownership, raw materials, buying from the foreign markets or something like that. Can anyone clue me in plz?

Also related questions - can orgs be moved? Can the avatar picture for an org be changed? Or the name for that matter?
Any other info/advice that org owners or any more senior players would care to share would also be most appreciated.

Oh and one last thing: the set-up window for my new org is open and already filled out as I write this - so prompt replies would be extra helpful.

The org needs to be located in the same country as the company is being sold in to buy it. Likewise for RM's/products. You can move your org the same as you can your citizen.

Everything about the org can be changed except for the name.

Organizations can move that much is certain.
You can also change the avatar that same way you change your own.

Thank you both. I have no short-term plans to buy/start a company, so my inclination is to stay in the eUS. Any reason that would be a bad idea - like would it have any effect if I were to start speculating in foreign currencies at some point?

And if I keep it here (most likely), any difference which state it's in? Hospital's not an issue I guess, is there any benefit to a fortress state, or a state with high RMs or anything?

Orgs are just like your citizen except they don't work, train, and (politically)vote.  You can buy MTs and move them anywhere just like a citizen.  So if you want to own a company Spain, you move your org to Spain and buy one/ start one.  If you find that France has the cheapest wood, you can move there and buy it with the org, then donate it to your company of choice.

Where the org is located doesn't matter until you decide to create a company with it.  The company will be created in the region the org is located.

And to answer your last question, you cannot change the name of your org.

Also FYI, I just learned I can't use the same email as my citizen account - "that email address is already in our database"... And for some reason my orgs avatar isn't showing up yet - hopefully that will change or I can figure out how to update it.
