House tax change to pass; Conservatives continue oppositionWASHINGTON, D.C. -- Another tax change is expected to pass Congress today despite continued opposition by Conservatives. A proposal increasing income and import taxes on houses currently is succeding by a vote of 33 to 16. This is a similar number to the tax change of moving tickets, which was the first vote in the 15th Congress that really garnered opposition. This comes as some in the Conservative Party on their boards have tried to turn their party into the anti-PANEC party, or rather the anti-tax party.
Mexico signs Alliances with the Swiss, Argentina, and ChileHOUSTON, TEXAS -- With the capture of three of their regions, the Mexican congress in a united effort, have ratified MPPs with the Swiss, Argentina and Chile. This comes at a time when because of a system problem that will not be fixed until Wednesday, the eUS cannot advance any further into the country. President UncleSam is expected to do just that on the day before election day, with newly grown opposition to the war effort inside the United States.
Rumors of European Alliance confirmedWASHINGTON, D.C. -- The United States' Ambassador to France has confirmed rumors of European nations trying to forge some 'third' alliance. There has been discussion in many newspapers of whether this is going to be a third mega-alliance to challenge both ATLANTIS and PEACE. However, the French Ambassador Daks said "..it not a military alliance in any shape, way, or form. It is based on the Real World's EU." Some have speculated it will not be able to remain a solely economic power for long, otherwise it would disintigrate -- therefore it may be forced to become military. It should be noted though that Romania, a big European player, has rejected the idea. Scrabman says he opposes war without chances of victoryWASHINGTON, D.C. -- Presidential candidate Scrabman told us in an interview, along with a post in a seperate newspaper in the game, that war games
"...are a waste of money and aren't very workable." He said that,
"If we're in it we need to be in it for victory. Otherwise we would be better off shipping our military around the world in expeditionary forces and in training exercises with other wars to get those troops the experience they need. We would spend less money training the highest of our troops than by opening pointlessly expensive war games." This is the opposite to the campaigning of current incumbant UncleSam who has promised war games as a keystone of his second term in office.
